Idea:
In 1999, Brandi Chastain’s goal clenched a historic Women’s World Cup victory—encouraging young girls nationwide to pick up a ball, lace up their cleats, and head on to the pitch.
So, for the 20th anniversary of this win—the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup—we celebrated the moment’s impact with a story that follows Crystal Dunn’s (Women’s National Team rising star) journey to the world stage. A story that allowed us to demonstrate the power of equal coverage and representation in sports.

Results:
Our clients initially intended to only run the spot on YouTube, so they didn’t have any media buy for the spot on broadcast during the Women’s World Cup. The Coke CMO liked our work so much that they immediately pulled some other Coke spots off air just so they can run ours.
